Russia’s Yandex says economic issues top search queries in Dec

MOSCOW, Dec 25 (PRIME) -- Russian Internet search engine Yandex says economic problems became the number one search query in December, including such topics as foreign exchange rates, default probability and the growth of food prices, according to Yandex’ research, seen by PRIME on Thursday.

In December users were also interested in a possible increase of pensions.

Among other popular questions were taxation changes. The top 15 questions entered into the Yandex search line included “Will there be amnesty?” and “Will the iPhone be banned in Russia from January 1, 2015?”.
